As the last city for Adieu 2020 series, we selected the Amsa Market located near Amsa station, Southeast of Seoul. With the unique visitors around 210,000 a month, this could be the most relevant market to explore the population flow at Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Shops available at this market range from groceries, restaurant to wholesales, clothes and mobile. Also, in that Amsa Complex market is open to not only inhabitants but also attracts people from different cities, it is worth a discussion to foresee the trend in the nearest future.
We have collected the visitor counts and average duration from LBASense, real-time population analytics system of DFRC.
From Graph 1 (Visitor Counts), we could find that on 12/13/2020 and 12/20/2020 which are both Sundays have recorded the least amount of movement.
With the Social Distancing Level 2.5 from 12/08/2020, now extended to the end of January 2021, the daily visitor count does not seem to have any explicit changes. However, huge drops of population flow have been observed during the Christmas holidays (12/24/2020 and 12/25/2020).
Otherwise, the daily average duration did not decrease during the Christmas holidays. The average duration on 12/24/2020 maintained the usual value, while that of 12/25/2020 has increased a little bit. The figures afterwards stayed within the average of the month.
